Jumpsuits For Curves

If it’s one thing that is raved about every summer, it’s jumpsuits. Stylish and easy to throw on, these all-in-one looks are the definition of effortlessly chic.

However, if it’s one thing that can be a struggle, it’s jumpsuits for curvy women. I know because I’m one of them. Let me tell you, the struggle is definitely real. Not only do most come with straps too thin to hide a proper bra, but the fit and fabric are too frequently not flattering for those looking to highlight their best assets, and camouflage some places they feel less confident about.

As personal stylist that loves the idea of a good jumpsuit, I made it a personal mission to find some options that flattered my hips-that-don’t-lie and support my bust line. Can I get an amen, ladies?

While the options were few and far between, I did manage to find a few good scores. Enter this  jumpsuit, in particular, from Zara. A beautiful silhouette with flowing fabric (draping fabric is essential), this piece has a fabulous silhouette that gives some shape at the waist, but also has plenty of room in that area (incase you’re looking to hide last night’s indulgent meal) as well as room in the leg and thighs for comfort and an effortlessly chic shape. Bonus? It has thick straps so your girl can wear a normal bra. Hello, winner!

For my other fellow curvy women out there, check out what I believe to be the best jumpsuits for women with curves:

  1. Strappy jumpsuit with pearl straps; as seen on me:$89
  2. Findley wide-leg jumpsuit: $99 (on-sale!)
  3. V-Neck jumpsuit: $148.00
  4. Key-hole jumpsuit: $140.00
  5. Norma Kamali sleeveless jumpsuit: $162.00

The best part about jumpsuits is that they also transition between seasons well. This piece will look stunning with a denim or leather jacket thrown overtop, or a traditional button-up blouse underneath when the weather cools down.

What do you think of jumpsuits? Do you enjoy wearing them in the summer?
