OOTD: White On White

Once the springtime hits, I’m all about donning a lighter palette in my wardrobe (which is better for my ideal colouring anyway). While I love bold, splashes of colour in a look, lately I’ve been drawn to neutrals and softer, lighter looks.

To me, there is nothing more elegant than monochromatic looks; especially when created with tailored pieces. I’m a big fan of long vests, so when this beautiful one from Club Monaco caught my eye, I knew I had to have it. feminine, but cut in a lovely silhouette, this vest is not only a beautiful spring/summer staple, but a stunning transition piece for layering as we head into the warmer months.

As a personal stylist in Toronto, most days still require a light jacket, so I decided to grab a grey turtleneck, white pants, stone-white purse, and my new white vest. Simple, clean lines, and a nicely tailored outfit. Since, I’m never too classic in my style, I decided to grab my leopard pumps that I’ve had for years (I’ll be crushed when I have to retire them one-day. Our relationship is going on a strong 5 years) for a touch of personality and fun.

The end result is a beautiful outfit that I could wear both to work, or out to dinner.

What do you think of monochromatic looks? Do you ever wear them?
