Versace Spring Couture 2013

Over the years, many have come to appreciate Versace’s sexy and vibrant clothing. While many designers opt for refinement and gowns during their couture shows, Donatella Versace stuck with the house’s signature flair and went with a playful, 80’s rock in electric colours for her collection.

Suits were a large portion of this collection, all with structure shoulders on the jackets that were illuminated with either fur trim or gold embellishments. Jackets were given a sexy edge by being turned into a pinstripe mini dress, or paired with trousers or skirts that had a 24 karat gold pleating in them.

As with any 80’s inspired collection, black and gold ran rampid throughout the collection as did neon yellow and pink.

The wild mixture of leathers, python, chiffon and other fabrics were an added surprise and interest to all of the outfits.
